Equipped with features to protect you against the cold, wet, and dark, the Nocturne doesn't allow winter conditions to get in the way of your training.
For starters, the shoe features innovative Gore Invisible Fit Technology that is integrated into the upper instead of the traditional bootie construction to make the shoe feel more like traditional mesh while still providing you with 100% waterproof, breathable protection. This membrane combined with the slightly higher cuff keep your feet dry and protected as you run on wet or snowy streets. A lightweight wool liner helps keep your feet warm when the temperatures are low and reflective elements all around the shoe help provide visibility when the sun goes down.
Aside from weather protection, the Sonic RA 2 Nocturne has plenty of features to provide you with a comfortable, responsive ride for your training runs. The Nocturne is constructed with Salomon's Vibe midsole that absorbs impact and offers energy return so long runs on pavement won't be too hard on your joints. This midsole is enhanced with an OrthoLite footbed that also cushions while providing moisture management to keep the climate inside the shoe nice and comfortable. Finally, the Nocturne has a sticky rubber sole to provide you with confident grip as you run on wet, slick, and try surfaces so you can get your training in through the cold, dark months.
